I am a patient of Nevada Advanced Pain and let me just make it know about some of the issues I am having. The first issue is that when I became a patient in August I had a nurse practitioner handling my pain medication. I put it down that I am taking Narco well they overlooked it and called me a liar. Even though the supervisor at the facility said its there mistake the violation has not been removed. You would think they would physically look over the paperwork first before throwing out false accusations and do they apologize? NO! If I could have given them 0 stars I would because right off the bat there first impression was rated very poorly based on previous doctors I have seen for years involving pain management.
During my knee ablation they did not wait for the sedation or pain medication to kick in therefore I was in allot of pain when they put needles into my knee.As a matter in fact when I was getting drowsy I heard Dr. Patterson bitching at his staff to hurry it up its nice to know the good doctor rush his procedures maybe he wants to crank out the $$ without caring about the patient at hand. They put the needle into my knee twice because the first time they missed and tried to blame it on me now I can barely walk. If they were that concerned they should have put my leg into a harness not blame me because I twitch because there pain meds were not given time to work. Technically that is a lawsuit they made the mistake they need to face the consequences of malpractice.
I am done with the hassle everytime I walk in I get treated like I am a druggie right away they come in everytime scolding me. Today I was yelled at because I took some left over meds I been taking for 6 years now and was told I should have thrown them out even though I have a history of taking tramadol for many years I took some that I found for my back. They enjoy calling me a liar even though I suffer from anxiety, ptsd and other ailments not the way to treat a patient knowing my previous history. I am a marijuana medical user I gave them the paperwork yet they still deny me anything for pain hell I cant even get aspirin from them I had to go to my primary to get medications Advanced refuses to give me. Even Renowned Health shakes there head because I told them everything and they think its ridiculous how awful I get treated. Its pretty bad when other medical facilities think Nevada Advanced Pain is a poorly operated facility.
I qualify for pain management I have chondromalcia in both my knees, bulging disc, bone fragments in my neck, sciatic nerve problems, FMS, chronic pain, spasms and many more ailments. I can barely walk anymore without any pain it took them months to schedule me a neck ablation even though I been asking for it. Now they want to drug test me in two weeks to see if I am still taking the tramadol because they want me to throw it out which is dumb considering my other doctor/nurse gave it to me previously. They continue to make mistakes and if it continues ill be knocking at there door with a lawsuit. I am done this place is horrible and as of October 2015 I been referred by my doctor for a new pain management place and its ashamed because Advanced could have had me as a patient for years to come and probably made allot of money from me considering I need regular treatment.
I have been in other pain management facilities never had one single issue not with drug test not with the doctors. But here because I have tats, long hair etc they treat me very different then other patients and I know because I have talked to other patients who go here. Good job Nevada Advanced Pain thanks for making my knee worst they never order MRI's then they tell me if they do ill have to go to physical therapy even though I have had it twice with my knee and it has not helped. Its obvious they do not care about there patients therefore I am giving them one star and letting them know if you keep doing this to me the next step will be litigation through the court system and a civil suit. I refuse to be treated like crap every time I visit here.
As a matter in fact I had to switch from Stephanie Maurbach to Anna Leza. Stephanie is very rude towards her patients she is one of these people that hates to prescribe medication and tends to forget who you are. She made a mistake in my papers accused me of taking lortab that my primary prescribed to me even though it was legal and I was on it prior to visiting pain management. I did complain to the supervisor and they did tell me that Stephanie was wrong and that they would switch me to another PA and her name was Anna Leza. Stephanie was transferred over to the VA Hospital its obvious that their has been issues with her or she would still be employed by Advanced now demoted!
Anna Leza was alright but she also makes mistakes about my previous medical history her note taking is not accurate.She has no idea of my PTSD or other issues and I am afraid she just does not care to hear them as when I talked to her she just rushes, shakes her head and has the whatever attitude. . Because according to her I no longer qualify to receive medication even though at the moment I have severe pain. There are laws to protect patients under certain circumstances according to my legal team and well with all the mistakes made they are going to lose me as a longtime patient. I never had a problem getting pain meds from any doctor I have been on them 6 years and had liver test which shows I am not abusing them. Based on all my drug test it also shows I take them therefore there should be no issue considering I have real physical documented medical problems such as X-rays, MRI's and other well documented notes from previous doctors.
Eventually Anna Leza was also sent to the VA Hospital I hope that her and Stephanie enjoy working side by side two peas in a pod. Prior to the month being transferred I was promised Morphine or medical patches for my pain. Well guess what they sent me back over to Stephanie once again because they both were leaving around the same time but Anna was already gone. Stephanie introduced herself shook my hand like we never met she did not even remember me. Then she gave me an entire lecture on marijuana and getting ready to take away my meds all because I was flagged three times the first time being her fault based on a paperwork error as if that is my fault the lady cant read!!! Without trying to sound rude Stephanie is St. Louis city trash. Northern Nevada is a wholesome place where doctors are friendly with there patients this woman acts like were in St. Louis get a grip lady!
Finally I came back a month later again I was switched two assistance sent to the VA they placed me with a Melissa Delamora an APN. I have to say out of all Dr Patterson's employees this my friends is the worst of the worst. This woman is very rude to me her assistant who does the note taking and her constantly goof off laughing, screwing around, making jokes and talking about others like this is high school. Melissa is very bias for example the older women she is very friendly with I found that out when I was told to wait for some paperwork outside another patients room. She was very nice to that patient saying hi how are you and friendly however with me she is the total opposite sorry Melissa that I have long hair, tats and I am not a little old lady but I am a patient and expect to be treated with courtesy since its my health insurance that pays for your fancy cars and lifestyles.
Melissa took away most of my medications within a minute of meeting her for the first time. I tried to explain to her that Anna Leza was going to try morphine or pain patches she had the I do not care attitude did not even want to listen. She does not listen as a matter in fact there is no reasoning with this individual because she is an APN who knows it all and apparently is psychic as to how you are feeling. Melissa refuses to even give me Motrin for my pain I have asked for it many times because again I have bone fragments in my neck therefore pain shoots down into my fingers, spine and shoulders. She thinks a little pain cream that has to be put on every 15 minutes is going to help me and its just not. I had to go see my primary who really critiqued Melissa for not prescribing me something more for the pain in my neck.
To make matters worst Melissa Delamora refuses to give me a referral to have an MRI done of my neck. My last pain management doctor told me that at least every 5 years to have one done to make sure that its not getting any worst. The last one I had was five years ago and the issue is getting worst therefore I need a new one to see if surgery is the next step. Melissa tells me an MRI is a waste because all she can do is give me injections or send me to a surgeon. She also to me its a waste of money I did not know that my health as well as my well being is a waste of time. She said there is no point in sending me my primary ended up writing me the referral and told me NV Advanced Pain is not very thorough and she is right. Melissa again is a know it all said oh you have arthritis so why bother sending you for an MRI. She is totally wrong I have two bulging disc, bone fragments and spurs in my neck along with muscle issues arthritis maybe but that is not all that is wrong. What is even worst is a month prior to this Delamora sent me for an MRI of my knee when I have already had injections, MRI's, Physical therapy and surgery on it. I did NOT need a new MRI of my knee but to her that is not a waste of money but an MRI of my spine is! WTF is this woman nuts?
Things need to change I would not recommend this paint management center unless you want to be bullied or have them rush a procedure then blame you for moving because they wont let the IV pain medication take effect therefore you will feel the pain because they refuse to put you under or let sedation take place. As far as Dr. Patterson goes he yelled at me in front of a whole room full of medical professionals because I moved my knee slightly when he jabbed the needle in my knee then told me its all my fault. I seriously hope this place gets there act together or ill go through the medical board and report them all for abuse. I have had about 6 friends ask me for a pain management facility guess what? I sent them elsewhere NV Advanced Pain could be making thousands off of my friends and I but now they wont make one red cent all because they run a circus!!
I am done and pretty pissed at the service I been getting. Every single month their is some kind of issue hell they never even examine me anymore I just sit in a chair and they do not ask me anything there like here is your meds now pee in a cup. This place is not people friendly and they do not give a crap about me or my pain! The first time they violated me was for a medication I already listed the second was because I smoke marijuana for pain and now the third is for taking a medication they already prescribed to me. I had a few left took them so that they did not get wasted and they flagged me for that.
The supervisor told me violation 1 would be removed because they made a mistake well it was NOT! They wont make copies of my medical records because the truth hurts and so do I. They just do not care and if they were thorough they would get up to date MRI's, X-rays and anything else to substantiate my complains. But instead they refuse to do it because they say its a waste of money even though my insurance covers the cost 100 percent not them!
Forget asking how my pain is or what hurts on me the truth is that they harass there patients. Then there is rolling the dice if you lose you have to drug test. I been to other pain managements they test you once every 6 months. I get tested every month and right away they see something they do not like and want to cut your medication. I suffer from PTSD and agoraphobia yet you get bum rushed when your here they do not care to hear about that. Why does two individuals need to come into the room and the Asian lady who is a note taker takes lousy inaccurate notes!! What is wrong Melissa cant write her own notes I mean come on my primary doctor does!!!
Then they tell you we cant give you medication but we can do procedures even though they have no recent MRI's anything to make money off sticking me with a crap load of needles. I do not want a procedure done at this place they cant even put the needle in the right area these kind of mistakes could end up paralyzing me seriously since now they want to poke around at my neck then what? I tell them I do not want anymore needles because of there previous mistakes and yet they tell me it is all they can do for my pain. How come other pain management facilities have other kinds of treatment but all NV Advanced focuses on is needles that is there solution for everything. Oh I know why because they can charge thousands of dollars for it its there cream of the crop!
Worst pain center I ever been too!!!! I highly recommend you go elsewhere I have talked to other patience in the lobby and they are having the same issues. They made a mistake with one woman while I was waiting told her she does not have to drug test so she went to the bathroom. Then they realized they grabbed the wrong paperwork and she did have to take one. Well this older woman told them I cant pee they are like well you stay here all day till you can pee. They made the mistake they should have let it slide if you make a mistake your responsible not the patient. This place makes allot of mistakes and never is there an apology. Just as Ana Leza says one thing then I see Delamora and get told something else. Its apparent that there is no communication between the medical staff and that patients are highly neglected.
I am finally glad to rid of this place I am getting pain meds from another medical facility as of now so Advanced is useless to me they offer me nothing anymore other then a headache! If you want to go here please do just remember Melissa Delamora along with the staff are better then all of you TRUTH! Were just a meal ticket for them there is no personal connection between the staff and its patients. Mistakes will be made and you the patient will be at fault for them. They are not thorough and they are not helpful at all because honestly they do not listen!! Would you want needles after they stab you in the wrong area? Then get told later on that its needles or nothing trying to corner you into getting injections?
Also FYI they blocked me on FB and the ability to review there office as I tried to edit it after multiple bad experiences. As you can see they censor there patients because they do not want the truth to be let out of the bag. I have not said anything wrong except my opinion and an honest review. If they have nothing to hide then why block me from submitting my own experiences or opinions? Sounds like to me they trying to cover up malpractice!! They have gone across the web disabling the ability to review them because they are covering up this cluster F$*k of a facility and well they would hate to lose that $ afterall that is what this place is perhaps a cash cow forget about what the patient needs!
